Click HereThe aim of our Newark care home is to provide our Service Users with the highest possible standard of care. We specialise in delivering care for older people with personal care needs, and older people suffering from dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory loss and similar disorders.
We offer a homely, comfortable and happy environment where care is planned with the active involvement of our Service Users themselves, as well as their relatives, friends, medical professionals and others wherever appropriate.
The home offers residential care 24 hours a day and is registered with the Care Quality Commission to accommodate 45 male or female elderly or mentally infirm residents (over 65). The home and its immediate surrounding area is a strictly no-smoking environment. However, there are provisions for smokers to smoke outside and away from the main building.
The ethos of the home is to help our Service Users lead happy, dignified lives and to become and remain as self-reliant and independent as possible within a safe environment.
Strawberry Fields also provides a respite day-care service. This is a great opportunity for relatives who are also full time carers to have a break during the day. Please contact the home for further information and our fees for this service.
Our care home has an open visiting policy whereby residents are able to welcome visitors into their own rooms, into the communal areas or into the grounds as they wish at any time. The home openly encourages family and friends to visit their relatives and loved ones as often as possible.
All prospective Service Users are invited to undergo a full needs’ assessment, carried out by a senior member of our care team. The assessment is designed to ensure that we are fully aware of the person’s needs and that allows us to decide whether or not the home will be able to sufficiently cater for those needs.
We understand that the decision to move into care is a difficult one for many, and we aim to make the process as supportive and friendly as possible. The assessment will usually be done at the home but we can always come out and do it wherever is most convenient for the applicant, including at the applicant’s own home or in hospital.
We welcome the opportunity to show prospective residents around and are very happy to arrange for a trial visit where the prospective resident can come and stay for a few days to see if the home is for them.

There is a lovely atmosphere when you walk in the home and it is clear that staff genuinely have the residents best interests at heart. I have seen first hand how the staff communicate with residents in a lovely manner. The home is light and welcoming and it is a pleasure to visit.
Strawberry Fields is a lovely place, the home is clean and my father is well looked after by the care staff, it is an excellent team.
